22lr Precision Rifle - Nelson vs Blenheim

We are providing everything for this shoot to keep it fair. 

Join us at the range for the NZDA Nelson Vs Marlborough Intro to Precision Rifle Shooting. A casual day of 22lr shooting with a friendly competition between the Nelson and Marlborough Deerstalker clubs.

Rifles and Ammo are provided, all provided ammunition must be used onsite under supervision of the Range Safety Officer (RSO).

First time visitors, arrive at the bridge by 9:45 where you will be met by one of the team to show you the way.

10am safety brief followed by the match brief.

5 Stages.

Round Count: Approx. 50 rounds + tie breaker (if needed)

The Rifles are fixed to each stage position, to score in the match you must use the provided rifle and ammunition combination under supervision of an RSO.

On the completion of the match while scores are being generated you are welcome to reshoot the 22lr stages with your own rifle and/or ammo, please ensure you have a RSO present at each stage.

Due to the nature of 22lr ammo and this being a casual day, any malfunctions will result in the timer being paused and the RSO providing additional ammo to the shooter – all shooters will get 10 shots per stage (if shot in under the 90 second time limit – some stages may be designed to time out).

Spectator’s welcome – please stay off the stages and follow the direction of the Range Safety Officers.

Spectators will also need to arrive and sign in BEFORE the 10am match brief

· From Hori Bay bridge follow the signs 2km to the Range

o 4x4 not required but expect a dirty car

· Park at the entrance to the range for sign in and briefing

Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking:

· Smoking is strictly banned due to the fire risk, vaping is permitted in the carpark(s).

· Alcohol and Drugs are prohibited on the Range.

All rifles have a 16” barrel with velocities of approx. 1045fps
